The fabric
A heavyweight 6.1 oz/yd² (207 g/m²) tee in 100% ring-spun US cotton, spun at 32 singles — finer yarn than our everyday tee, and more of it. No polyester, no blends. You feel the difference the moment you pick it up: this one has body. It hangs instead of clinging. Preshrunk and soft-washed, so it arrives already broken in rather than asking you to earn it.
Garment-dyed, which is the whole point
Most tees are made from fabric that was dyed first, then cut and sewn. This one is sewn first, then dropped into the dye as a finished shirt. That's slower, costs more, and it's why the colour sits in the cotton rather than on top of it — soft, slightly faded, the depth you normally only get from a shirt you've owned for a decade.
It also means no two are identical. Small variations in tone are how garment-dyeing works, not a fault.
How it's built
The body is knitted as one continuous tube — no side seams anywhere. Most heavy tees are cut from two panels and stitched down each side to force a shape. This one isn't shaped at all, and that's deliberate: the unstructured drape is exactly what makes an old t-shirt feel like an old t-shirt. Relaxed, roomy, slightly boxy. If you want it closer to the body, size down.
Twill-taped neck and shoulders, a 7/8" (2.2 cm) topstitched ribbed collar, double-needle stitching at the armholes, sleeves and hem. The heavy stuff is built heavy.
The tag stays in
Unlike our everyday tee, this one has a soft woven twill label sewn into the neck rather than a tear-away. It's flat and it's fabric, not plastic — but if you cut every tag out on principle, better you know before it arrives.
Where it comes from
US-grown cotton, sewn in the same family of OEKO-TEX certified, Fair Labor Association–partnered factories as the rest of our range, using low-impact dyes. Then it comes to us, and we print it after you order it. Never before. No warehouse, no unsold stock, no rush.
This is the heavy one — the one you keep. If you'd rather have light, easy and everyday, that's our other tee. Same art, different weight class.

Turn it inside out before washing — the print will thank you. Cold water, gentle cycle, mild detergent. No bleach, ever.
Air dry if you can. If you're using a dryer, keep it low and don't throw it in with your heaviest stuff.
Treat it well and it'll last. That's the whole point.

If something's not right, we'll sort it. No scripts, no runaround — email wecare@viricotton.com and a human answers.
If it's our fault — wrong item, a printing fault, damaged on the way — we fix it at our cost. Replacement or refund, your call. Don't pay to send anything back before you've spoken to us.
If you've changed your mind — if you're in the UK or the EU you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving a reason. You then have a further 14 days to send it back.
Two honest things about that. Return postage is at your own cost — we don't provide a prepaid label. And the shirt needs to come back unworn and unwashed; if it comes back in a state we couldn't reasonably resell, we may reduce the refund to reflect that.
We'll refund within 14 days of you telling us you're cancelling — including the standard delivery you originally paid — though we may hold off until the shirt is back with us, or you've shown us proof it's on its way.
To cancel, just email wecare@viricotton.com with your order number and tell us you're cancelling. That's enough. There's no form to fill in and no hoop to jump through.
Ordering from outside the UK and EU? We apply the same 14-day window as our own policy. We'd rather be consistent than clever.
If it goes wrong later — your statutory rights don't expire when the 14 days do. If a print cracks or a seam gives out in normal wear, tell us and we'll put it right.
